My first summer of design work allowed me to get stuck in and I created a table design that would support heavy loads, not shake and have space for a storage shelf below.
I then created the 2D drawing, got it approved by a mechanical engineer and sent it off to be manufactured.

As can be seen by the hole callout, I made it 16mm diameter. This at the time was a guess from me and ended up requiring M16 bolts and nuts. A total mistake on my part, thankfully it wasn’t a very expensive mistake.
Below is an assembly of the tables with the top on it. Missing from this is the FLS1000 system this supports and the shelves that go below.
