I am a Product Designer, with a first class degree from the University of Dundee.

Currently, I work as a mechanical design engineer with a photonics company. Working with high powered lasers in the near infra-red to visible light scale. This has been my job for the past three years, but also the last 4 summers before this, as an intern.

Working in the mechanical design field for that long has allowed me to learn so much about the industry and many skills I didn’t get at University. Combined, I want to take all my skills and create my own projects which I hope to turn into a career. I have a  massive interest in all design areas and often get ideas for products, house designs, furniture and many others. My downside is I just don’t quite dedicate any time to take them further than a paragraph explanation and maybe the odd sketch.

I have created this online portfolio as an easy way to see my past work, while also hopefully showing my willingness to experiment with different processes and programmes. I hope using this website will spur me on to create more of my own work and progress from there.

The first project is my own custom shoe rack / bedroom drawers cabinet.
